The Challenge
High-end hotel work is unforgiving in two directions at once. The finished product has to meet an exacting visual and functional specification — joinery, finishes, FF&E, services — because guests and operators notice everything. At the same time, the build environment carries serious risk: working at heights, silica-generating demolition, live electrical hazards, plant and equipment movement, and the constant presence of the public and operating hotel staff.
Layered on top of that, Reward Group — like most principal contractors at this end of the market — delivers through a network of specialist subcontractors. The real challenge wasn't writing a manual; it was proving they could consistently hold safety, quality and environmental standards across a workforce they don't directly employ, on jobs where "near enough" is never good enough.
They also had a tender on the horizon that required certification to ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 — and they wanted one integrated system, not three siloed binders.

The Outcome
From kick-off to certification took roughly five weeks, and the independent third-party audit ran without a hitch — all three certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) issued in time for the tender.
Honestly, the standout factor here wasn't us — it was Reward Group's project management team. They're genuinely competent operators who picked up the system, ran with it, and embedded it across their sites and subcontractor base without needing to be chased. That's what made the audit a non-event: when the people doing the work already do it properly, certification is just the paperwork catching up.
The IMS they were left with is a working set of documents their site teams actually use — not a binder that lives in a drawer between surveillance audits.
