RC's needed a Work Health & Safety management system robust enough to stand up to government and education sector pre-qualification expectations and an independent exemplar audit — without burying a small operational team in paperwork they'd never realistically use on site.
The system had to genuinely reflect their work: licensed asbestos removal, demolition, plant and equipment operation, silica exposure, working at heights, manual handling and electrical isolations. The same level of system rigour you'd expect from a full ISO 45001 implementation — built around the practical realities of regional Queensland demolition work.

They walked away with a system their crew can actually use on site every day: a single WHS manual, an asbestos removal control plan, demolition plan, SWMS, decontamination procedures, inductions and permit-to-work documentation — all aligned to the real hazards of their work and the pre-qualification expectations of their client base.
About exemplar certification
An exemplar certification is an independent audit of a management system against ISO-style requirements, typically used to support licensing or pre-qualification. In RC's case, the exemplar audit was specifically against ISO 45001 (the WHS management system standard). The system we build and the implementation work are the same as for a full ISO certification; the difference is the audit pathway. Exemplar certification is not third-party ISO certification by a JAS-ANZ accredited certification body.
