The Brief
Industec is a small family business based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland that services some of the largest industrial facilities in Australia — high-spec power plants and heavy processing sites from Queensland through to Western Australia. They needed a full Integrated Management System certified to ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), robust enough to clear the pre-mobilisation requirements of tier-1 end clients.
Their day-to-day work is genuinely high-risk: confined space entry into baghouses and ducting, working at heights on elevated plant, dust exposure, and high-risk construction activities. On top of that, much of the work is shutdown-driven — heavy reliance on labour hire and short-term workers who need to be onboarded fast, flown to remote sites, and managed for fitness for work, drug and alcohol, and travel. The system had to handle all of that, and it had to live on a phone in the field, not in a binder on a shelf.

The Outcome
The proudest part of this one isn't the certificates — it's what happened over three years. In year one, we led the whole build: the IMS, the permits, the rescue plans, the Dashpivot rollout, all the way to first certification. In year two, we stepped back and let Industec's team drive, with us in a support role. By year three, all we did was the internal audit — Industec ran the rest of the management system themselves and sailed through the external audit on their own.
That's the goal with every client: build a system the business actually owns and runs, not one that quietly falls over the moment the consultant walks away. Industec are a textbook example — certified to ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, mobilising into tier-1 power plants across Australia, and fully self-sufficient on the management system that gets them through the door.
